The
Los Altos Hills Historical Society invites contributions to the
Fund for Stegner's Study. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit
corporation, so such donations are potentially tax deductible.
A number of people who knew or admired Wallace Stegner were surprised
to learn that his former residence was being Fast Tracked for
demolition and a project was formed to find a location where it
could be preserved as a small museum. More recently a proposal
has been made to move it to an inaccessible location on the property
where it is now located.
We hope to persuade those involved to allow its preservation
as a museum but it remains uncertain whether this project will
succeed. For a review of the complicated negotiations that have

blog. To see who has contributed so far see the Contributors’
List. If this project succeeds, those who have contributed
$500 or more will be listed on a plaque in the resulting museum.
If this project fails, all contributions will be refunded.
